How to handle diarrhea?
Summer brings in some special and common phenomenas as:
insect bites, intestinal infections and diaria (which is one of the most common phenomenas) and others…
Diarrhea is a problem in the Gastrointestinal tract. It’s not a disease but a symptom of different disseses.
Most diseases which provokes diarrhea are caused by infections.
This is a medical condition where the body is secreting more fluids than usual.
The secretion is needed to help the body getting rid of hazardous materials.
How we handle diarrhea?
On most cases no special treatment is required.
Some doctors would prescribe a medicine to stop the diarrhea; however not always is justified, the problem can go away by it self once the body cleans itself.
Actually we should allow the body to clean itself from unwanted substances.
But not always we can wait the diarrhea to stop by itself. sometimes, especially among elderly and babies, it can cause Dehydration.
On those cases is necessary to drink a lot of water and sometimes fluids transfusion is required.
Serious attack can be exhausting, when there is vomiting as well, it can be dangerous.
Diarrhea is usually a common symptom indicates a minor problem. but sometimes it can be the first indication for a more severe problem.
If it lasts more than a few days, the reason for that should be diagnosed.
There are some prescription free products, but those products are not treating the problem, just releif the symptom, but on some cases it can worsen the situation.
Can we prevent the digestive system problem? and how?
First of all, keep your food refrigerated, when it’s still hot and you can’t put it on the fridge, cover it to prevent from bacterial and fungi to multiplay.
Put it on the fridge as soon as possible.
Our wonderful summer fruits must be washed well before eating.
Today’s fruits are full with chemicals, if you can replace them with organic fruits it will be better.
There is no need to throw away the soft fruits – natural fruit sugar is sweet enough and healthy;
add a drop of lemon, cook it and keep in the fridge. but not for long…
Everybody will want to eat it! Dairy desserts should be checked for expiration date, among cheese and other diary products.
Do not leave food outside of the fridge, unless you want to summon a lot of microorganisms.
If you have a doubt for one product to another, better throw it and not risk your family.
If you are eating outside, please examine well the served food.
“Shawarma” for example is an ideal source for diarrhea. if you are sick, cook rice and carrot, cook it well and drink their juice.
Prefer to drink non carbonated drinks, and in general prefer water.
